Happy 2018! We hope you all had restful holidays!

This is a long-awaited update from us about our Infinite Kickstarter launch. Over the past few weeks we have been working on refining details for the Kickstarter perks tier list to ready it for its launch in the New Year. It’s been a bit of a lengthy process from when we first predicted our launch date, so thank you all for your patience and understanding as we work through our busy schedules to push Infinite into its next big stage.

For now, we’re excited to announce we have finalized our perk tier list for the Kickstarter, and will be launching as soon as our schedules will allow (in the next week or so). We look forward to starting 2018 with a splash, and once again, thank you for supporting us through this journey. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to us. Otherwise, stay tuned for upcoming updates!

[ 12 .05. 17 ]

We have been making some (minimal) progress over the past few months in spite of of a heavy school workload. So far, we have confirmed all suppliers and most details for the kickstarter, which was originally set to launch for October but will need to get pushed back to around January. The book is almost completely formatted, and all artists have been contacted to confirm their respective layouts.

For the Kickstarter, we're still missing a couple of sticker and shirt designs. If anyone is interested in trying their hand at some, please let us know! Once these designs are complete (this winter), the Kickstarter will be ready to go. Tentatively, the Kickstarter will run from mid-January - February. Unfortunately, they will not be ready for delivery this winter holiday season.

[ 06 .13. 17 ]

Hi everyone, we hope you’ve all been doing well! We just wanted to give an update on what we’ve been up to since our last update.

We have since received all the artwork from our participating artists, and in the past several months, we have been hard at work formatting many of the individual content pages. We’re proud to say that the layouts are close to being done now! In the next few weeks, we’ll be contacting artists to confirm layouts and to proofread what we have.

We are also looking to launch our Kickstarter campaign at the end of June to make this project a reality! All profits will be going towards our cause to help fund libraries in underprivileged communities in rural China through a great organization called OCEF. Please stay tuned for that announcement, as we are so excited to finally get Infinite underway.

Finally, we want to give a huge thank-you for everyone who has been following along our journey, and being so patient. Without you, Infinite would not be where it is today. Looking forward with sharing our next steps with you!

[ 02 .02. 17 ]

Can you believe we're already into the second month of 2017?

We've received so many beautiful pieces of artwork over the winter, every one of them inspiring a new generation of thinkers and explorers.

Currently, we've already begun formatting the layouts of the pages for the artbook. Some of you may have already received some drafts of the pages from us; others are still yet to come in the next few months.

February to April are busy months for both of the organizers, so updates may be sparse. Once again, if you have any questions or if you would like to check up on the progress of the pages, please shoot us an email (infiniteartbook@gmail.com) ! Also, let us know if there are any stories you'd like to share!

Happy Holidays!

This is a friendly reminder email from all of us here at Infinite that the deadline for submitting the final artwork is December 30, 2016. Please be sure to include the following in your email/dA note to us:

1. Artwork Title
2. Artist Name / Contact info
3. Small blurb on your topic
4. WIP series if you have them

To clarify the dimensions of the submission:
Raw artwork size (minimum): 6” x 9”; however, you are free to exceed this number on either side and you are not limited to these proportions
Final page dimensions: 8.5” x 11” with ¼” bleed horizontally and vertically, so a total of 8.75” x 11.25” for your document.

Everything is at 300 DPI.

If you require an extension, please let us know asap so we can plan accordingly. Thank you for being part of Infinite, and we wish you a safe and happy holiday season!

[ 11 .11.16 ]

Reminder to all invited artists that the WIP checkpoint date is this Sunday, Nov 13th! Please either note the group or send us an email.

[ 11 .03.16 ]

Hi there, it’s November!
We just wanted to give a quick update on what’s been happening behind the scenes here. It’s been a pretty busy few months for all of us, and we’re trying our best to keep Infinite moving along.

With that being said, after our first round of invites, we decided to do a second round to better fill up the artbook, and showcase more amazing artists. Currently, we are waiting to see some of your WIPs and are excited to share them on our social media platforms, so be on the lookout for that in the near future!

In the meantime, feel free to send in any topics or artists you would like to see in Infinite. If you are an invited artist who have shown us a WIP, feel free to submit it as a deviation to be featured in the group’s gallery. Huge thank you to everyone supporting this project, we really appreciate it!

We have received many beautiful submissions for our contest and it has been difficult to pick a winner. However, the wait is over! Here are the results:

Winner: moukitsu"Antikythera"

"The Antikythera Mechanism is an ancient orrery much alike to the astronomical clock that we know today. It was used to predict astronomical positions for calendrical purposes.  Since it was also used to predict when can people see certain constellations, I used the famous constellation Andromeda, the chained princess, to also represent that the artifact is from the country Greece. The artifact was found on the Antikythera shipwreck thus explaining the sea theme, the pieces of wood, and the silhouette of a shipwreck at the background. You can also see the artifact which is composed of gears and is rusted while buried in the sand."

Runner up: @Toriily - "Spectrum"

Spectrum by toriily
"In 1672 Sir Isaac Newton discovered that white light contained a spectrum of vibrant coloured rays. All the colours of the rainbow, all the colours that paint our world."

Thank you to everyone that entered the contest! Physical prizes will be sent out when the books are printed.

Merry Christmas to everyone! Since the power is out and will continue to be out for whoknowshowlong, I'll say happy new years here as well. Did you guys meet your new year's resolution goals?

For those who are affected by the ice storm & power outage, good luck! Huddle together at night and make sure you don't bring outdoor appliances inside for heat. Our city had about a month's worth of carbon monoxide poisoning in just the past two days.

Wishing for a light Christmas,
ederily
